Scope of Vice President of Sales
The Vice President of Sales will provide, leadership, management and participate in creating the vision in developing revenue generating activities and initiatives to achieve the current year area business plan and support the company’s long term strategic sales plan. 
This position will drive business growth in both strategic and ancillary markets and segments with relationship management to provide extraordinarily high levels of customer satisfaction and coach the Sales Team in overall messaging and selling techniques.
The VP of Sales will work to anticipate changes in the marketplace, industry, customer base, and competitive position, and adjust sales and commission plans accordingly.
They manages a regional sales team of RSM’s (Regional Sales Managers), CAS’s (Clinical Associate Specialists) and Inside Sales personnel for a geographic area comprised of multiple sales territories and ensures the organization's sales volume and profitability objectives are met. 
This position requires independent travel overnight up to 85% of the time, within the USA and International.
Responsibilities – Vice President of Sales
  • Drive sales team to meet and exceed sales targets in general and in the segmented markets.
  • Coach, train, motivate, provide feedback and co-travel to ensure sales team achieves objectives and personal quotas.
  • Identify successes and failures of the company’s go-to-market strategy, competitive responses and initiatives, technology trends, market trends, reimbursement opportunities and challenges and propose solutions.
  • Work with President, Inc to structure and Establish effective compensation and incentive programs that motivate sales team to achieve their sales targets and is both competitive and cost effective.
  • Develops and implements strategic, annual and quarterly sales plans to accommodate corporate goals.
  • Directs sales forecasting activities and sets performance goals accordingly.
  • Reviews market analyses to recommend customer needs, price schedules, and discount rates.
  • Directly works with HR on staffing, training, and performance evaluations.
  • Directs channel development activity and coordinates sales distribution, establishing sales territories, quotas, goals.
  • Advises dealers, distributors, and clients concerning sales and advertising techniques.
  • Assigns sales territory to sales representatives.
  • Analyzes sales statistics to formulate policy and assist in promoting sales.
  • Represents company at trade association meetings to promote product.
  • Delivers sales presentations to key clients in coordination with sales representatives.
  • Meets with key clients, assisting sales representative with maintaining relationships and negotiating and assisting in closing deals.
  • Analyzes and controls expenditures of division to conform to budgetary policy and requirements.
  • Prepares periodic sales report showing sales volume, sales trends, sales activities, potential sales, and areas of proposed client base expansion.
  • Works directly with HR and company Payroll to ensure correct Commission Plans are initiated / paid.
  • Monitors and evaluates the activities and products of the competition.
  • Works directly with HR to ensure proper Training is acquired and maintained by Sales staff.
  • Recommends or approves budget, expenditures, and appropriations for research and development work.
  • Bachelor's degree and related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Prefer a Master / MBA graduates.
  • Marketing experience is a plus within a medical device genre.
