TITLE: RN Clinical Applications Manager

This position is primarily responsible for the management of IT applications analyst both clinical and non-clinical.
The Applications Manager is to ensure that all of the applications under their purview do not negatively impact patient outcomes, governmental regulations, or health system finances.
The role is responsible for ensuring that the applications and the workflows associated with the use of the applications are optimized and make the best use of the hospitals resources.
The Applications Manager is to proactively work with associates and physicians to create solutions that are intuitive, scalable, and reliable.
This position is responsible for ensuring their area of responsibility supports the goals and mission of The Health System.
The Applications Manager serves as a positive change agent to improve the delivery of patient safety, patient care, and the patient experience thru the use of computerized systems that both directly and indirectly involve the care of the patient.
The Applications Manager researches and stays abreast of current regulations, trends, and technology as it relates to healthcare systems and initiatives.
This position is also responsible for advising clinicians, and health system management about best practices within their area of expertise.
The role focuses on the delivery of value and outcomes through the use of technology as experienced by physicians and associates throughout The Health System.
This role is also responsible for translating system functionality into specific features and functions that enable patient safety, physician efficiency, useful clinical documentation, and outstanding patient care.
Education: Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing, MIS, Informatics
-Leadership skills to lead project teams
-Ability to be self-managing and make sound decisions with a limited amount of oversight and without all of the data
-The ability to assemble and inspire a strong team
-Experienced in clinical operations workflow analysis and system implementation
-Previous experience in the management of CPOE, physician documentation, bedside medication verification or similar system implementations
-Previous experience working with Senior Management
-Previous experience managing project budgets
-Sound trouble-shooting skills
-Strong customer service focus and Strong presentation skills
-Ongoing knowledge and understanding of CMS regulations and requirements, Meaningful Use, HITECH act, the Affordable Care act, and other regulatory requirements.
-Experience with MS Office, MS Project, MS Visio
-Meditech or other HCIS experience
-Lean\Six Sigma experience preferred
Person needs to be an RN with bedside experience plus IT and project management.
Position reports to the CIO
Position has Direct reports over Nurse Informaticist and Applications Analyst
The facility is offering a salary range between 75K-85K depending on experience and a great benefit package that includes relocation.
